CAIRO: Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) Chairman Mohamed Omran delivered a Monday speech at the United Nations Environment Program in Ethiopia on the role of groups in maximizing the return on development public and private funding through international dialogue, according to an EGX press release.
The chairman’s speech and participation in three conferences on social responsibility and the role of finance in achieving development goals in Addis Ababa comes per an invite by the U.N.; an invitation that recognizes the efforts of EGX in community development and sustainability, Omran said.
The Nile Stock Exchange and the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) market launched by EGX have a basic role in funding the development of SMEs to achieve sustainability by helping them to expand and grow, he added in his speech.
Omran will also to participate in a round table with the U.N. Conference on Trade and Development organization to discuss the challenges facing the financing process of development plans, according to the release.
