CAIRO: Cairo Airport received 24 Egyptians Thursday after being deported from Italy, Greece and the U.S. for arriving illegally at the three states, Youm7 reported.
Twelve Egyptian nationals arrived from Catania, Italy, 10 arrived from Greece and two arrived from Germany, en route from the U.S.
The deported citizens confirmed to the airport’s security they were residing illegally in the said states.
The Egyptian authorities are cracking down on illegal immigration, foiling the attempt of dozens to illegally travel to Europe through Mediterranean shores almost a few times a month.
