CAIRO: During her seventh month of pregnancy, a 25-year-old woman gave birth to sextuplets-four girls and two boys- in Egypt’s Delta governorate of Dakahlia, Youm7 reported Thursday.
The 8-week premature babies were born by Caesarean section at the Mansoura University Hospital where they were placed in incubators. The four girls weighed 6, 7, 8 and 9 kilograms while the boys weighed 5 and 7.5, medics at the hospital said.
Randa Mostafa Ahmed is also a mother of a three-year-old girl. She took stimulants medication when planned on becoming pregnant, medics said.
In March 2013, a 30-year-old woman gave birth to sextuplets in Upper Egypt’s governorate of Minya. A medical team revealed that the sonar showed only quadruplets, but they were surprised by the sextuplets, ON T.V. reported.
