CAIRO: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) extended its rally for a third straight day at the close of Thursday session, amid an investor upbeat sentiment among foreign investors.
The benchmark index EGX30 rose 1.06 percent to end at 8,191 points, compared to 8,106 points on Wednesday.
Market capitalization gained around 3.3 billion EGP ($421.33 million,) totaling 497.5 billion EGP, up from 494.2 billion EGP on Wednesday.
The market bellwether, CIB, rose by 0.27 percent to close at 56.41 EGP per share, compared to 56.26 EGP per share on Wednesday.
Further, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 added 1.07 percent to end at 459.12 points, up from 454.25 points in its last session.
The broader index EGX100 also went up 1.64 percent, to close at 944 points.
