CAIRO: A teacher, known for his opposition to the Muslim Brotherhood group, was shot dead Friday by three masked men on a motorbike in Delta’s Sharqia governorate, Youm7 reported.

Assayed Gamaan, was killed as he “countered” several Brotherhood protests in his village, Abou Kabir, locals told Youm7.

Since the 2013 ouster of President Mohamed Morsi, motorbikes have been used by assailants to shoot at policemen on streets. However, anti-Muslim Brotherhood citizens have also been intimidated and attacked under the premise that they report the Brotherhood’s members and protest to the police.

Meanwhile in North Sinai, Bedouin citizens were beheaded by insurgents for “collaborating with the military.”

In December 2013, Egypt’s Interim government had officially declared the Muslim Brotherhood group as a terrorist organization.
