CAIRO: The Court of Cassation accepted Saturday an appeal on a death sentence handed to Adel Habbara and 24 other co-defendants in the case publicly known as “Second Rafah Massacre”, Youm7 reported Saturday.
The court also ordered a retrial in the case.
The defendants are accused of killing 25 Central Security forces in Rafah in August 2013.
In December 2014, Habbara along with six others were sentenced to death, 22 others were sentenced to life and two got 15 years in prison; all defendants appealed the verdicts.
