CAIRO: The 2015 Euromoney Egypt Conference kicked off at Cairo’s Semiramis InterContinental Hotel Monday, where Egypt will discuss its economic outlook and investment in different sectors.
This year is the 20th anniversary of the annual event, which is one of Egypt’s oldest and most important financial conferences. The two-day conference will host at least 600 figures representing 20 countries from Europe; the Gulf and Russia are scheduled to attend.
Several international organizations are expected to take part in the conference, notably the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank, USAID, and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation.
Workshops at the conference will look into financing projects announced at the Egypt Economic Development projects held in Sharm el-Sheikh in March and the Suez Canal Axis Development projects, as well as examine various energy and electricity projects through public private partnership system (PPP.)
