CAIRO: A Cairo Administrative Court upheld Tuesday a court ruling banning Mubarak-era figure and steel tycoon Ahmed Ezz from running in the 2015 Parliamentary elections.
In February, the Menoufia Administrative Court excluded Ezz from the elections; however, he appealed the ruling and announced that he would run for the upcoming parliament.
Ezz was arrested following the January 25 Revolution; he faced charges along with the former Industry Minister Ibrahim Mohamadeen, for profiteering and misuse of public funds when he was in the parliament.
