CAIRO: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi has appointed Sherif Ismail, the former Minister of Petroleum, to form a new government.
Sisi accepted Saturday the resignation of the Cabinet headed by Ibrahim Mahlab, Youm7 reported.
Sisi met with now-former Prime Minister Mahlab Saturday morning, during which he gave the now-former ministers a week to function as a caretaker government.
The resignation follows days after the Minister of Agriculture was arrested for corruption and accepting bribes.
