CAIRO: A visa for a foreigner to work in Egypt will cost 3,000 EGP($383) annually, the Ministry of Manpower announced Monday.
After the third year, the annual work visa cost jumps to 5,000EGP until the sixth year, after which the annual cost increases 1,000 EGP per year until reaching a cap of 12,000 EGP annually.
Foreigners are prohibited from working as tourist guides, and may not constitute more than 10 percent of a company’s workforce; foreign media organizations are except from this provision of the law.
