CAIRO: Sixteen new ministers were sworn in Saturday morning in front of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi at the Ittihadiya Palace, in the new cabinet headed by the newly appointed Prime Minister Sherif Ismail.
Seventeen ministers from the previous cabinet retained their positions in the new one including the Minister of Defense Sedky Sobhy, Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Gaffar, Minister of Endowment Mokhtar Gomaa, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry, Minister of Supply Khaled Hanafy, Minister of Youth and Sports Khaled Abdel Azizi, Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Irrigation Hossam Moghazy and Minister of Solidarity Ghada Waly, Minister of Justice Ahmed el-Zend, Minister of Planning Ashraf el-Araby, Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Environment Khaled Fahmy, Minister of Antiquities Mamdouh el-Damaty, Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman, Minister of Civil Aviation Hossam Kamal and Minister of Finance Hany Kadry.
