CAIRO: A media delegation departed Cairo International Airport Wednesday morning to New York to cover President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s participation in the 70th session of UN General Assembly, Youm7 reported.

The media delegation included a number of well-known media professionals and TV hosts, such as Wael al-Ebrashy, host of Mehwar show Al-Ashera Masa’an” (10pm) and Youssef el-Husseiny, host of ONTV show “al-Sada al-Mohtaramoon” (Respected Gentlemen,) besides journalists from leading Egyptian newspapers.

Sisi is scheduled to visit New York City from Sept. 25-28, to give a speech in the 70th session of the U.N. General Assembly Friday, according to Youm7.

Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry flew to New York Sunday to prepare for Sisi’s visit and to take part in a number of high-level meetings.

The Egyptian expatriate community in New York recently produced a documentary film about Sisi’s accomplishments in Egypt, celebrating his visit to the state.

“The film included scenes from Sisi’s speech in the 69th session of the U.N. General Assembly and parts of the New Suez Canal inauguration; it aims to reflect the love and support of Egyptians living in the States for the president,” film presenter Eman Helmy told Youm7 Tuesday.
