CAIRO: A massive teacher training project will launch Sunday, that will eventually train 10,000 educators, Secretary General of specialized subsidies for the presidency Tarek Shawky told Youm7.
The presidency has pre-selected 25 teachers based on merit, who will study for a month with Egyptian and foreign education experts, and the program will launch in full in the third week of October.
These 25 educations will be tasked with sharing their training with colleagues, and were also chosen based on foreign language ability, since they will study curricula from a number of countries.
“We will send out a generation of teachers as Egypt’s ambassadors of this project for the development of Egyptian education in the future,” Shawky said.
