Israeli officials say two Palestinians who were shot while trying to stab Israelis in Jerusalem and the West Bank have died of their wounds.
Police spokeswoman Luba Samri says a 16-year-old Palestinian drew a knife on officers when they approached him in Jerusalem and asked for identification. She says the officers opened fire and killed him.
Earlier on Saturday, in the West Bank city of Hebron. Israel’s military says an Israeli pedestrian shot and wounded a Palestinian who tried to stab him. The alleged attacker later died of his wounds.
Over the past month, eight Israelis have been killed in Palestinian attacks, most of them stabbings. In that time, 33 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire, including 16 labeled by Israel as attackers, and the rest in clashes with Israeli troops.

Israeli police say officers shot a Palestinian in Jerusalem who tried to stab them.
Police spokeswoman Luba Samri says officers approached a Palestinian who then pulled out a knife and tried to stab them. The officers opened fire and seriously wounded the assailant.

The Israeli military says an Israeli in the West Bank has shot a Palestinian who tried to stab him.
Saturday’s incident took place in a Jewish neighborhood of Hebron, a frequent flashpoint where a few hundred Jews live in close proximity to tens of thousands of Palestinians.
The military says the Israeli shot and wounded the Palestinian before the man could harm him. The Palestinian was being evacuated for treatment.
