CAIRO: A program promoting human rights and “social morals” will be broadcast on the radio by the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) during Ramadan, according to a Tuesday NCHR statement.
“The soap opera includes a message of awareness on women rights in an indirect dramatic form,” said the NCHR, noting that the artistic work comes in cooperation with the sate-owned radio.
The program will be aired at 5:15 p.m. daily on Voice of the Arabs waves, starting Thursday, the first day of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic Calendar during which Muslims nationwide fast from dawn to dusk.
The drama was written by Samir al-Gamal and directed by Hani Foad, according to the statement.
