‘Matrouh, The Future of Investment’ economic conference kicks off Saturday

CAIRO: An economic conference, intended to attract investment opportunities mainly from the Middle East, will kick off Saturday in Egypt’s Mediterranean city of Marsa Matrouh, Youm7 reported.

Prime Minister Sherif Ismail will give speech at the inauguration of the 2-day conference in which several Arab and Egyptian businessmen expected to participate.

Dubbed as “Matrouh, The Future of Investment,” the conference will addresses investment opportunities in agriculture, fisheries, real estate and mineral resources fields the sectors.

During his 4-day visit to the UAE, the Governor of Matrouh Alaa Abu Zeid has initially signed deals worth $12 billion to establish 10 investment projects, four of which are industrial and touristic projects worth $5 billion, Youm7 reported last week.

The deals will be officially concluded during today’s conference.

Foreign ambassadors, heads of investment and financial funds and institutions, development banks and foreign delegations are also among participants.
