CAIRO: The Egyptian forensic authority announced Saturday it has started a DNA identification analysis of the crashed Russian Airbus A321 victims, Youm7 reported.

“DNA testing has been carried out for 35 corpses of the plane crash. They were brought by ambulances to the Zeinhom morgue Saturday. A total of 78 corpses have been delivered to the morgue so far while other 50 are on the way from Sinai,” Minister of Justice aide for Forensic Medicine Shaaban al-Shamy told Youm7 Saturday evening.

A Russian airliner carrying 224 passengers crashed to the ground Saturday morning over Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula 23 minutes after losing radar contact. All aboard passengers were killed.

A Russian delegation arrived Saturday evening at Zeinhom morgue to follow-up the incident developments on the ground, Shamy added.
