CAIRO: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended in the green at the close of Wednesday’s session, backed by local purchases.
The benchmark index EGX30 was almost flat, adding a slight 0.01 percent, to end at 8,556.
Further, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 went up 0.39 percent to end at 454.1 points, compared to 452.36 points in its last session. The broader index EGX100 rose by 0.22 percent, registering 954.16 points.
Market capitalization gained around 1.6 billion EGP ($208.43 million,) totaling 488.7 billion EGP, up from 487.1 billion EGP Tuesday.
