CAIRO: The Egyptian authorities have prevented a Russian plane from taking off from Hurghada Airport Monday after discovering a technical problem, state-owned newspaper al-Ahram reported.
All 217 passengers have descended from the Airbus 321 plane until fixing the problem, the newspaper quoted aviation officials at the airport.
The plane was reoperated after fixing the problem and headed to Russia’s Perm.
The is incident came three days following a crash of Russian plane in Central Sinai, killing all 224 passengers aboard.
Investigations are being carried out to find out the cause of the crash.
