Video: Sharqia governor rebukes officer for his tinted, plateless car

CAIRO: A traffic officer was rebuked by Sharqia governor over his vehicle that “violates traffic rules,” Youm7 reported Monday.

During his inspecting visit in Zaqaziq city, Governor Reda Abdel Salam stopped a traffic officer driving a car without a license plate and with tinted windows; the argument was caught on camera.

“You are a role model for people … [how come] you work in the traffic department and drive without a license and with tinted windows, is this right?” Abdel Salam addressed the officer.

Abdel Salam rejected the officer’s apology, saying “there cannot be an apology here, if this is our situation as officials, then how will this country be developed?”
