CAIRO: Meeting a wish of a child with cancer, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi accompanied Thursday Omar Salah during his cruising down the New Suez Canal at the inauguration ceremony.
Omar, in a military uniform, stood beside Sisi waving the Egyptian flag on the royal yacht of al-Mahroussa during the ceremony of inauguration of the 72km-long new canal.
Salah has asked a group of Military Academy students to get him a military uniform and to attend the inauguration ceremony, director deputy of Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt Sherif Abu al-Naga told Youm7.
In October, Sisi met with another child with cancer, named Ahmed Yasser.
Yasser was one of 28 children in Kafr al-Zayat village of Delta’s al-Gharbia governorate, who were diagnosed with after drinking chemical-polluted water. He dedicated Sisi a hard copy of Holy Quran.
