EGX ends on limited slip, benchmark loses 0.15%

CAIRO: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) posted a soft decline at the close of Thursday’s session, hurt by local sell-offs.

Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 fell 0.15 percent to 7,039 points on Thursday, down from 7,050 points Wednesday.

Similarly, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 decreased a slight 0.09 percent to end at 382.1 points, compared to 381.77 points in its last session.

The broader index EGX100 was almost flat with only 0.02 percent lower to close at 822.87 points, after 823 points on Wednesday.

Market capitalization added around 1 billion EGP ($127.7 million,) registering 411 billion EGP.
