CAIRO: Egypt’s Red Sea will host the 7th INTERPOL meeting for the heads of National Central Bureaus (NCBs) in the Middle East and North Africa on Monday, announced the Red Sea Security Directorate Sunday.

Representatives of 18 countries and others from a number of international organizations will take part in the three-day meeting, the statement said.

Representatives of Naif University for Security Sciences and the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime will attend the meeting to activate mechanisms for international cooperation to upgrade anti-crime level, the statement continued.

“All the security services in Egypt are determined through this conference to prove themselves against all the challenges of extremism and terrorism,” the Minister of Interior aide for Red Sea Adel al-Tonsi was quoted in the statement.

The 2014 INTERPOL meeting was held in Jordan’s Amman with participation of 16 representatives, according to the Interpol official website.
