CAIRO: Tunisian President Beji Essebsi will make his first presidential visit to a foreign country to Egypt Sunday, Youm7 reported.
A delegation from the Tunisian presidency arrived in Cairo Friday to prepare for Essebsi’s two-day visit.
Essebsi, who was elected president 10 months ago, will discuss bilateral relations and regional issues, especially that of Libya and Palestine.
President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi invited Essebsi to Cairo as then-Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab visited Tunisia in September with a top ministerial delegation, including ministers of trade, industry, health, investment, to partake in the 15th round of the Egyptian-Tunisian Higher Committee after five years of suspension.
