CAIRO: Mars and Jupiter will be at their closest conjunction until 2018, seen in Egypt during the dawn of Sunday, according to Ashraf Tadrus, head of the astronomy department of the National Institute for Astronomical Research.
The conjunction will be the two planets’ first since July 2013.
The closest grouping of Mars, Jupiter and Venus of 2015 will occur Oct. 26 in a phenomenon that is not expected until 2012.
On Sept. 27-28, Egyptians were able to see a partial rare supermoon eclipse.
